Chicken Massaman

    A warm, winter-perfect curry with tender chicken, potatoes, and gently spiced Massaman sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 300g chicken thighs
    • 2–3 potatoes
    • 1 onion
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • Salt or fish sauce
    • Optional: peanuts
    • 2-3 tbsp massaman curry paste
    • 1 can coconut milk
    • 1 tsp coconut sugar

    Instructions

    1. Cook coconut milk together with massaman paste until aromatic.
    2. Add chicken and brown lightly.
    3. Add coconut milk + potatoes + onion.
    4. Simmer 20-25 minutes until potatoes are soft.
    5. Stir in coconut sugar and season.
    6. Add peanuts if desired.

    Thermomix Mode

    1. Massaman Paste + coconut milk→ 3 min / 120°C / Speed ​​1.
    2. Add chicken → 5 min / 100°C / Reverse / Speed ​​1.
    3. Add coconut milk + potatoes + onion → 20 min / 100°C / Reverse / Speed ​​1.
    4. Season at the end. with coconut sugar and fish sauce to your taste

    • Replace chicken with beef, tofu, mushrooms, or chickpeas.
